The 8 qt Countertop Planetary Mixer (SP8) from Globe is designed for heavy-duty mixing with heat-treated hardened steel alloy transmission gears that operate the planetary action and provide high torque mixing power. Included with this mixer is an eight quart stainless steel mixing bowl, aluminum spiral dough hook, stainless steel wire whip, aluminum flat beater and a polycarbonate bowl guard. The bowl lift lever is interlocked meaning that the mixer will automatically shut down when the bowl is lowered. This mixer also features front mounted controls with a 15 minute digital timer. This cast aluminum mixer is finished with an NSF approved white enamel paint and includes a six foot cord with plug. The innovative "two point" mounting system increases the ease of installing and removing the mixing bowl. The stainless steel bowl guard slides open for adding ingredients and is easily removed for cleaning. Operator safety interlocks prevent the mixer from running if the bowl guard is removed or opened, or the bowl is lowered.

The mixer has five speed options, including a blend speed to control splash out. The commercial mixer can be operated in a continuous run mode or by a 15-minute timer that will automatically shut off the machine after the desired processing period has elapsed. The mixer features ergonomically designed moisture resistant switches and a No-Volt Release that prevents automatic re-activation in the event of a power interruption.
